What type of fitness level is required? No experience is necessary. JFE's "Tri Learning System" along with our famous "2 moves in 20 seconds" will have you up and running in no time. Regardless of your fitness goals, we have a class that fits your needs.
What do I wear to class? Please wear comfortable workout clothes when you come to class. Our instructors need to see each class participant's form to ensure good posture so close fitting clothes work best.. Shoes are rarely worn in class.
Is bellydancing a good workout? I've never known anyone to sweat in a bellydance class. JFE had designed each class to ensure you receive a great workout. We take bellydancing "up a notch" by keeping everyone moving and using a variety of upbeat music. Each instructor is famous for performing "sweat checks" halfway through the class to ensure everyone is sweating and meeting their fitness goals! You will sweat, but you will have fun!
Do you have to have a certain body type? No. You do not have to have a certain body type. In our classes, you will find women of all shapes, sizes and ages.
Will I learn to dance like Shakira? Yes. Shakira's performances include several bellydance moves that are covered in class.
Am I to old to bellydance? No. We've taught ladies of all ages and each instructor is considerate and attentive to each participant's needs. Instructors demonstrate alternative approaches to ensure everyone reaches their fitness goals comfortably.
